Privacy Policy
OneClickShot is a Chrome extension for taking screenshots and recording your screen. In short: everything stays on your device, and the extension collects nothing.
What we collect
Nothing. OneClickShot does not collect, store on a server, transmit, sell, or share any personal data, browsing history, or usage analytics.
How your captures are handled
- Screenshots and screen recordings are created and processed entirely within your browser, on your device.
- Converting a recording to MP4 runs locally using bundled WebAssembly. No media is ever uploaded.
- The extension temporarily holds an in-progress capture and the current recording state in your browser's local extension storage, only so its own popup, editor, and recorder windows can stay in sync. This data never leaves your device and is cleared as you finish or discard a capture.
- Files you choose to download are saved by you, to your computer. The extension does not retain a copy.
Permissions
The extension requests only the permissions it needs to capture and record at your request — access to the active tab and page content, tab capture, local storage, and notifications. These are used solely to perform a capture or recording you explicitly start. No page content is read, stored, or transmitted otherwise.
Third parties
There are no third-party services, SDKs, analytics, ads, or trackers in the extension.
Children's privacy
OneClickShot is a general-purpose tool and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
